This is what you gourd should look like after it's been sitting for a while.

Now take your Bombilla and slightly pack the slope of the Yerba. You want to create a nice pocket for the hot water.
|
|
|
|
Then take your Bombilla and place it in the reserviore you made with the curverd side of the Bombilla facing you. Then gently dig your Bombilla underneath the Yerba at the bottom so the very end of your Bombilla is placed just about dead center of the bottom of the gourd.

Now you are almost ready for your first sip!

Now sip and Enjoy! Important note about sharing your mate. If you are sharing with a friend, be sure to sip all-the-way until you hear a slurping sound indicating that the gourd is empty of water.

Auuuh! Wonderful! Eventually the flavor starts to loose it's punch. I find that one full liter of water stays full of flavor all the way through. After that it's starts to taste watered down.
